Environmental and process technology firm Environ- mental & Process Tech- nologies (Enprotec) will exhibit and demonstrate its technology and a wide range of other business offerings at Electra Mining Botswana, which takes place at the Gaborone Fairgrounds from September 3 to 5.

Enprotec head of sales and marketing Jayson Jacobs states that there is a large push from Enprotec towards expansion into Africa, which is why the company is positioning itself at platforms such as the Electra Mining Botswana.

“The aim of going to Electra Mining Botswana is to build relationships, explore opportunities and, ultimately, generate sales,” he says.

Jacobs adds that after detailed research, Enprotec is confident that attendees and exhibitors at the event will constitute a potential client framework for the company.

“The company attends a range of relevant events yearly, so, whatever we display forms part of our overall business strategy. Our technology is the base from which the company operates, so we will demonstrate various mediums at the event to properly showcase our full offering,” he says.

Jacobs notes that the com- pany’s management team meets on an ongoing basis to prepare and discuss strategies for such events, ensuring that the content stays true to and aligned with Enprotec’s sales and overall strategies.

“The company is looking forward to engaging with potential new clients and communicating its offerings. We would also like the chance to establish mutually beneficial partnerships,” he says.

He points out that trade shows, such as Electra Mining Botswana, are important for building partnerships, which can be tough in Africa.

“An event of this quality and magnitude creates the oppor- tunity for decision-makers to engage with one another at the right forum and to develop discussions into concrete business ventures,” states Jacobs, adding that African economies benefit from dealing with other African companies as well as international companies.

“This kind of event offers the opportunity to generate inter- national business that would not otherwise have been possible,” he notes.

Jacobs points out that the establishment of Enprotec was based on the need for mineral processing companies with the capability to provide solutions for the recovery of ultrafine coal material.

“The company has the capability to carry out environmental, economic and tech- nical feasibility studies to determine the most viable solu- tion to turn the waste stream into a viable product stream. The company operates in three key fields, namely the projects and engineering services division, the operational division and the process equipment division.

Jacobs says that the major challenges facing the mining industry in Africa are costs and reducing the environmental footprint.

“These two elements are a key part of the company’s business offering. Using proven case studies, Enprotec has established itself as a company that saves its clients money and reduces their environmental footprint,” he says, adding that the company was established and built on a cost-saving and environmental footprint reduction strategy.

Jacobs explains that the African mining industry is on the rise, as suppliers are constantly growing their businesses and component offerings.

“All of this – if properly imple- mented – will enhance the industry with regard to financial worth, but it is imperative to drive home the responsible mining message to extend Africa’s mining life span and not exhaust precious resources,” he notes.

Jacobs adds that Enprotec trades internationally, but currently focuses on aggressive expansion into Africa and other international markets such as South America.
