Airports Company South Africa says its Chief Dawid Stuurman International Airport, in Gqeberha, will receive an estimated R3.7-billion in capital works up to the end of the 2031 financial year, including a terminal expansion with reconfigured check-in, new baggage carousels and upgraded departure lounge and commercial areas, due by February 2031. Runway and taxiway rehabilitation is expected to be completed by September next year, the terminal having last been renovated in 2009 for the FIFA World Cup.
