York Timber reports higher earnings, revenue

JSE-listed lumber and agriculture company York Timber’s revenue for the year ended June 30 increased by 14% year-on-year to R1 995-million.

Adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation increased by R75-million to R166-million.

Debt increased by R126-million to R561-million, while cash generated from operations increased by R119-million to R148-million.

The company’s biological asset value increased by 19% to R3.25-billion.

Net working capital increased by 9% to R223-million.

York’s earnings a share increased from 12.97c to 68.19c, while headline earnings a share increased from 13.74c to 66.69c.

York’s net asset value a share increased from 592c to 659c.

No dividend was declared for the year, as was the case in the previous year.
