Wearcheck and set point laboratories At The Mining Indaba

WearCheck and Set Point Laboratories, divisions of Set Point Group will be exhibiting at this year’s 20th Annual Mining Indaba currently held at Cape Town CTICC.

WearCheck will be promoting its reliability solutions division which offers vibration monitoring and thermal imaging as well as laser alignment and balancing. Set Point Laboratories will be showcasing its analytical services and products unique to the mining Industry. “Participating in events like the Mining Indaba, the world’s largest mining investment and Africa’s largest mining event gives us the networking opportunities with key Industry players locally and internationally and prospects of capitalising the African Mining Industry,” says GraemeHorsfield CEO Set Point Group.

Set Point Laboratories have facilities in South Africa and Botswana and are expanding their footprint into Africa. Services offered range from full testing laboratories to setting up and operating on-site and mobile laboratories (such as the ones in Mozambique and Gabon) which they have specific expertise and experience to set up, or run. They have a water laboratory specialising in the analysis of ground, surface, drinking, waste and process water. “We also offer our unique outsourcing mine-site laboratories which allows clients to focus on their core competencies while ensuring that the analytical data received is accurate and consistent,’ says Horsfield.

WearCheck is the leading oil condition monitoring company in Africa, serving the mining, earthmoving, industrial, transport, shipping, aircraft and electrical industries through the scientific analysis of used oil from mechanical and electrical systems. WearCheck is the only oil analysis company in Africa with ISO 9001 quality certification and ISO 14001 certification for its environmental management programme, and ISO 17025 accreditation for its laboratory centric quality management programme. They also provide condition monitoring services such as vibration analysis, tribology, thermography and other complementary services.
