National Treasury and Finance Minister Pravin Gordhan on Monday invited South Africans to submit suggestions on the allocation of the national Budget.

The yearly invitation encouraged citizens to submit tips on how economic growth could be made more inclusive and assist in reducing unemployment, poverty and inequality.

National Treasury said in a statement that the initiative ensured active participation in government programmes and, in particular, matters related to the economy.

Submissions could be made through fax to 012 315 5123 or posted to Private Bag X115, Pretoria, 0001.

Submissions would also be accepted through Gordhan’s Facebook fan page or the Facebook page of National Treasury.

Further information could be obtained at www.treasury.gov.za

Gordhan would present the 2013 Budget to Parliament on February 27 at 14:00.
