Name and Location
Tidal energy lagoon project, off the coast of Wales.
Client
Tidal Lagoon Power.
Project Description
The project will involve the construction of 9.5-km-long sea wall in the vicinity of the Port of Swansea, South Wales, to enclose an estimated 11.5 km² of tidal area. If the project is given approval, construction of the Swansea Bay lagoon will begin in the first half of 2015 with first power being generated in 2018.
