Teranga beats 2016 guidance with strong ops performance

VANCOUVER (miningweekly.com) – Toronto-based Teranga Gold has produced more yellow metal than expected in 2016, beating the top guidance range by 1 735 oz, at 216 735 oz total for the period.

The TSX- and ASX-listed miner, which owns and operates the Sabodala mine – the only gold mine and mill inWest Africa's Senegal – functioned at record levels this year, following the early commissioning of the mill optimisation project that is expected to increase our mill capacity by up to 15% a year.

Teranga expects to release its full-year operating results on January 30.
