Susan River Solar Farm project.

Location
The project is located about 17 km from Hervey Bay and 11 km from Maryborough townships, in Australia.

The site is currently used for agricultural purposes, mainly grazing activities.

Client
Esco Pacific.

Project Description
The project involves the construction of a 100 MW utility-scale solar farm.

The solar farm will cover 176 ha and comprise about 350 000 solar photovoltaic modules.

The solar panels will be installed on ground-mounted frames and will generate direct current electricity that will be inverted to alternating current using containerised power conversion units.

The power conversion units located on site will feed alternating current electricity into an on-site power reticulation system before the power is centrally collected and dispatched to the local electricity distribution network through the Ergon Energy transmission network.

The project will take about 12 months to build and subject to approvals, it is expected that work will start in the second quarter of 2018.
