Project Description
The project involves the construction of a greenfield refinery with a capacity of ten-million tons a year. The refinery will be designed to process sour crudes into low-sluphur transportation fuels meeting Euro V specifications, in addition to petrochemical feedstock. The output of the refinery will be mainly sold to the domestic market.
The Star refinery marine terminal is planned to be constructed and operated in the scope of project.
The marine terminal will allow the unloading of crude oil and the loading of multiple products, including liquid petroleum gas, jet, diesel, reformate, sulphur and xylenes. Considering the variability of the products, multiple jetties are required in the terminal.
Four jetties are currently planned, each of which will allow the double-sided berthing of tankers. Three jetties will be used for liquid handling and the fourth for bulk cargo.
