Project Description
The project involves the construction of an 18-hole, 6 537 m, par 72 championship golf course on about 97 ha of rolling countryside to the south of the JCB’s Rocester headquarters. The course design will twist and turn around the natural contours of the site, dipping in and out of woodlands, and incorporate the existing water features in a range of configurations, including the unique par 3 seventeenth hole, which plays onto an existing wooded island in the South lake.
At the heart of the golf development will be Woodseat Hall, an eighteenth-century mansion currently in ruins.
The mansion will be renovated as the golf course clubhouse, complete with a luxury spa, leisure facility and five-star-hotel-style accommodation.
