Project Description
The 156 MW Song Bung 4 hydropower scheme involves the construction of a 110-m-high roller-compacted concrete dam, a 3.2-km-long headrace tunnel that is 7.2 m in diameter, a 16-m-diameter surge shaft, an intake structure and a powerhouse.

$250-million.

Duration
The Song Bung 4 plant is expected to be operational by the end of 2014.

Latest Developments
A major milestone at the Song Bung 4 hydropower project has been reached with the closure of the river diversion and the start of the reservoir impoundment.

Mott MacDonald has acted as owner’s engineer and technical adviser on the project since 2009.
