To this end we offer a wide range of cabling solutions for different market segments, including a comprehensive range for renewable energy applications. The SunGen ® cable range for the Photo Voltaic and Concentrated Solar Power solar markets includes UV-resistant solar cables that connect the solar panels to inverters and concentrators; and Low Voltage and Medium Voltage cables that transmit power to the grid. The WindGen ® range is most suitable for wind farms and comprises of nacelle cables used in wind turbine systems as well as copper and aluminium Low and Medium Voltage cables to feed power back to the grid.
As a result of our exceptional product range and track record in the renewable energy segment worldwide, General Cable has been awarded the opportunity to supply our SunGen® and WindGen ® cable ranges to several Wind and Solar Power projects awarded during Phase 1 of the Renewable Energy Independent Power Producer Programme) .

Some of the prestigious customers and projects to whom we have supplied our SunGen ® and WindGen ®  cable products include, ABB (for the Kathu, Soutpan and Witkop sites), Abiensa (for the Khi and Kaxu) sites, Iberdrola (Noblesfontein and Jasper sites), Roshcon, Ternienergia and others.
