Project Description
The project will upgrade and expand the capacity of Berth 4 at the Port of Townsville, in north Queensland, allowing for a further two-million tonnes of product to go through the port every year.

The upgrade means that Berth 4 will be able to receive Panamax-sized 4 500 twenty-foot equivalent unit vessels, enhancing the efficiency of container-handling operations.

A landside cargo-handling area will also be built and the intermodal transfer of cargo for road and rail will be enhanced.
