Njord is an oil and gas field in the Norwegian Sea, located about 30 km west of Draugen.
Client
DEA Norge AS (50%), Statoil (20%), Neptune Energy (20%), Faroe Petroleum (7.5%) and VNG Norge AS (2.5%).
Project Description
The Njord field came on stream in 1997, and the platform and storage vessel are being upgraded for an additional 20 years of operation.
The storage vessel will be prepared for extended operation in the Njord and Hyme fields, as well as tie-in of two new field developments in the Norwegian Sea, Bauge and Fenja. The upgrade involves extensive upgrading and maintenance of the vessel, in addition to installation of equipment on board for reducing emissions to air (VOC facility).

At peak, the project will employ an estimated 600 people.

Njord Bravo is scheduled to be completed at the turn of the year 2019/20.
Latest Developments
Statoil has awarded Aibel a contract to upgrade the Njord Bravo FSO. The contract is valued at about Nkr1.3-billion.
Aibel will have overall responsibility for fabrication, installation, construction, shop engineering and procurement as required to achieve mechanical completion on the FSO. In addition, Aibel will assist Statoil with commissioning services.
