JOHANNESBURG (miningweekly.com) – The CEO of JSE- and Aim-listed Pan African Resources, Jan Nelson, would step down on March 1.

Pan African COO Ron Holding and former Pan African CFO Cobus Loots have been appointed as joint interim CEOs until a successor for Nelson was appointed.

Nelson would remain a director of Auroch Minerals, the holding company of the Manica gold project.

“We appreciate Nelson’s significant contribution to the transformation and growth of Pan African, particularly in respect to the successful acquisition of the Evander gold mines,” said Pan African chairperson Keith Spencer, adding that Nelson had agreed for his counsel to remain available to the company for a period following his departure.
