Project Description
The Magnum NGLs storage project being built at the Western Energy Hub will be the first underground salt cavern NGLs storage facility in the Rocky Mountain region. Development will include the construction of solution-mined storage caverns in a salt dome, an estimated 0.91 km below the natural surface. Each cavern will be able to store between one-million and two-million barrels of propane or butane.
Cavern sizes at Magnum NGLs, however, can be customised to hold between one- million and ten-million barrels of product to fit any customer’s requirements. The facility will also provide rapid offloading and loading options for either truck or rail.
