The project is located in the Belabo subdivision of the East Region, in Cameroon.

Project Description
The project involves the construction of a 30 MW power plant, which will supply electric power to the country’s East Region.

The power will be transmitted through a 105.12 km, 90 kV transmission line.

The project is cofinanced by the French Agency for Development (CFAf39.35-billion), the African Development Bank (CFAf34.79-billion), the World Bank (CFAf64.82-billion), the Development Bank of Central African States (CFAf20-billion) and the European Investment Bank (CFAf19.68-billion).

Duration
Construction started in July and will take 30 months to complete.

The foundation stone for the project was laid in July.
