A definitive feasibility study on the Little Eva project, located 90 km north-east of Mount Isa, in Queensland, envisages a large-scale openpit mine with yearly production of seven-million tons of ore for 38 800 t of copper and 17 200 oz of gold.
The project has an 11-year mine life, with reserves of 375 000 t of copper and 205 000 oz of gold.
Value
The estimated capital cost to construct the processing plant and infrastructure is A$181-million.
The full preproduction capital cost, including prestrip, is estimated at A$320-million.
