Aim-listed phosphate producer Kropz has reported record production at its Elandsfontein operation, in South Africa, in September, with 34 070 t of phosphate concentrate extracted.

The company reported on November 24 that Elandsfontein produced 87 496 t of phosphate concentrate in the third quarter, a 17% rise compared with the previous three months.

Sales for the period reached 72 408 t, up 28% quarter-on-quarter.

The mine is currently operating in a trial production phase as Kropz continues to ramp up output and refine operational processes.

Kropz did not provide financial figures for the period but indicated that production and sales momentum had improved compared with prior quarters.
