Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) has a 66.67% participating interest and bp (33.33%).
Project Description
RIL and bp are developing three deep-water gas projects in block KG D6 – R Cluster, Satellites Cluster and MJ – which together are expected to meet about 15% of India’s gas demand by 2023.
These projects will use the existing hub infrastructure in KG D6 block. Peak gas production from the three fields is expected to be about one-billion cubic feet a day by 2023.
R Cluster, located at a water depth of more than 2 000 m, is the deepest offshore gasfield in Asia and the first of the three projects to come on stream. It comprises a subsea production system tied back to the KG D6 control and riser platform by a subsea pipeline.
