Project Description
The Horseshoe project aims to improve the mobility along the I-30 and I-35E corridor near downtown Dallas’ central business district. The proposed project includes the design upgrade of the corridor, the replacement of the I-30 and I-35E bridges over the Trinity river, the construction of additional lanes and the Margaret McDermott bridges.

Latest Developments
Pegasus Link Constructors, a joint venture (JV) comprising Fluor Enterprises and Balfour Beatty Infrastructure, has been awarded the contract for the design, construction and potential maintenance of the Horseshoe project.
The Fluor-led JV was selected as best value proposer for the project by the TxDOT at the end of 2012. Along with the signing of the contract, the JV received a notice to proceed (NTP) with the design phase. The construction NTP is expected shortly. The JV’s scope of work includes the I-30 from Sylvan avenue to the I-35E from north of Eighth street to the north of the I-30/I-35E interchange, and the construction of a fully designed Santiago Calatrava signature bridge.
