Fortinet® , the global leader in high-performance cyber security solutions, announced it has signed a partnership agreement with Core Networks, a value added distributor specialized in wireless solutions, for the distribution of its wireless security solutions in South Africa.

Core Networks, with its extensive channel network and experience in the enterprise wireless space, will help foster Fortinet’s penetration into South African-based businesses. Core Networks will be distributing Fortinet’s wireless security solutions such as access points, wireless controllers etc. Anton de Jager, Owner at Core Networks, says “With Security and Wi-Fi uptake growing at a staggering rate per year, we see all the vertical markets investing in enterprise Wi-Fi. Historically this would be a challenge offering Wi-Fi only. Thanks to our new partnership with Fortinet, the Wi-Fi solutions we can take to our customers are now secure and backed with Fortinet’s extensive on-the-ground technical, sales and marketing support. In addition, Fortinet’s products are unique in the market.  The advanced single channel technology, exciting security features as well as the ability to extend these features to the edge, is what makes Fortinet stand out from the crowd.  This is important to our customers.  As a specialist distributor with 24 years of networking and Wi-Fi experience with extensive in-country support, we are positioned to better capitalise on the new “Secure” Wi-Fi boom”.

“We are very pleased to partner with Core Network, who is coming onboard with an excellent reputation in the market” said Andre van Zyl, Channel Accounts Manager at Fortinet. “Together, we believe this partnership will have a positive impact for our businesses in KSA region and help customers optimize their security environment for greater protection and cost efficiency.”
In addition to Wi-Fi solutions, Core Networks’ partnership with Fortinet paves the way for the value added distributor to offer customers additional security products and other networking solutions, allowing them to deliver end to end solutions. De Jager says Core Networks aims to explore a number of opportunities presented by the partnership. “Where possible we will also explore other opportunities within the extensive product range” he says.
