Civil engineering and construction group Esor has appointed Bruce Atkinson as CFO and executive director, taking over the role from acting CFO and CEO Wessel van Zyl from October 6.

Atkinson, a chartered accountant, joined Esor in 2008 and has since served in various positions within the group, including FD of operating subsidiary Esor Africa and later as group financial manager.

Prior to joining Esor, he was a partner in the Durban office of the auditing firm RSM Betty & Dickson.

In addition to Atkinson’s appointment, Esor on Tuesday named Keneilwe Moloko as independent nonexecutive director.

She started her career as a quantity surveyor and later went on to qualify as a chartered accountant, holding positions at Redefine Properties and Coronation Fund Managers.

Moloko, whose appointment was also effective from October 6, currently served on the boards of several organisations, including KWV Holdings, the Cape Pension Fund audit committee, Ikamva Labantu Empowerment Trust and Prescient Holdings.
