AMEA Power together with a consortium wholly owned by African women and formed by Ziyanda Energy and Dzimuzwo Consulting.
Project Description
The proposed project entails the construction of a 120 MW solar PV project as part of the Renewable Energy Independent Power Producer Procurement Programme – Bid Window 6.
The project will generate more than 325 GWh/y of clean energy and power about 25 000 households, offsetting an estimated 290 000 t/y of carbon dioxide emissions.
Potential Job Creation
The project will use more than 45% of locally sourced materials and resources.
Capital Expenditure
$120-million.
Planned Start/End Date
The construction of the PV project is expected to start by mid-2023.
