Project Description
Dogger Bank Creyke Beck will be the first stage of development in the Dogger Bank Zone. It will have an installed capacity of up to 2.4 GW and will connect to the existing Creyke Beck substation near Cottingham, in the East Riding of Yorkshire. It will comprise two offshore wind farms – A and B – with an installed capacity of up to 1.2 GW each. Each wind farm will comprise 200 turbines and will include eight substations and two converter platforms, all linked up through 2 000 km of interarray lines and another 300 km of transmission cables.
The 515 km2 Dogger Bank Creyke Beck A will be located in the southern part of Tranche A, 131 km from shore at its closest point. The 599 km2 Dogger Bank Creyke Beck B will be located in the western part of Tranche A, the largest in the area, also 131 km from shore at its closest point.
Value
The first phase will cost an estimated £7-billion to implement.
Duration
Preconstruction activities are expected to start this year.

The first consent order for Dogger Bank was granted by the British government in February this year.
