The Department of Small Business Development has published the Guidelines for Application for the Debt Relief Finance Scheme and Business Growth/Resilience Facility on its website.

The online application form was due to be available from April 2; however, the department said only small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) registered on its database would be considered.

SMEs were, therefore, advised to register their businesses at https://smmesa.gov.za/.

Additionally, the department has also published a request for proposals (RFPs) aimed at existing South African-owned and -registered SMEs operating in the medical supply and nonfood sectors that are tax compliant.

The RFPs are aimed at acquiring information on SMEs that are able to participate in the manufacture and supply of goods that are required for the management of the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.

These documents are also available on the department’s website, or SMEs can email the department at info@dsbd.gov.za or call the hotline number, 0860 663 7867.
