The global Deloitte group has been recognised in recently released reports as the leading global business consulting firm by three separate international analyst and research organisations. ALM Intelligence recognised Deloitte as No.1 in Global Business; Gartner ranked Deloitte No.1 in Consulting Service Providers by Market Share, Worldwide 2015; while IDC MarketScape simultaneously named Deloitte a Leader.
Deloitte’s capabilities were examined by the three bodies across a multitude of businesses, including consulting, risk, advisory, tax and audit.
ALM Intelligence works directly with top-level consulting executives and their clients to obtain firsthand perspective on providers’ capabilities and trends driving services, allowing it to rate providers. Gartner is one of the world's leading information and communication technology research and advisory companies. IDC MarketScape is a leading tool for the ICT industry, providing in-depth quantitative and qualitative technology market assessments of ICT vendors for a wide range of technology markets.
This is the sixth consecutive year that Deloitte has been so recognised with prominent accolades for its depth and breadth of consulting services.
Thiru Pillay, Managing Director for Consulting at Deloitte South Africa, responded to the accolades by saying; “We believe these recognitions serve as a testament to Deloitte’s commitment of helping companies solve their most complex problems – while transforming the way our network serves clients, develops our people and leads our industry – in South Africa as much as globally. Additionally, we feel that earning this leadership distinction from top industry analysts year after year speaks to Deloitte’s deep specialisation and ability to provide valuable insights and execution at scale.”
Among its recognitions, Deloitte ranked No. 1, based on revenue, in global consulting by ALM in its Global Consulting Index 2015; Deloitte is listed by Gartner as No.1, based on revenue, in global consulting in its 22 April 2015 report entitled Market Share Analysis: Consulting Services Worldwide, 2015; Additionally, the organisation was named a Leader globally and across all regions based on capabilities for Business Consulting in IDC’s report, MarketScape for Business Consulting 2016 Vendor Analysis – Worldwide1, Americas2, EMEA3, and Asia Pacific4.
The IDC MarketScape report for instance noted that, “clients worldwide consider Deloitte to be the most capable firm at challenging corporate culture and delivering value-creating innovation.” The IDC MarketScape also named Deloitte as a Leader across multiple markets including the Americas, EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) and Asia Pacific based on strategy and capability. On top of ALM Intelligence’s No.1 ranking of Deloitte in Global Consulting, it also ranked Deloitte for the second consecutive year No.1 in Global Strategy and Operations Consulting, in addition to No.2 in Global Human Resource Consulting and No.3 in Global IT Consulting.
“Looking ahead, Deloitte remains focused on its top priorities of innovation, digital, talent and bold leadership as we deepen and broaden our global capabilities,” continues Pillay. “Notwithstanding market forces such as the rapid pace of technology, growth remains the biggest issue on the minds of the CEOs our organisation serves. Deloitte will continue to deliver the trusted insights and broad capabilities clients and the industry rely on to meet these changes, and look forward to remaining a global leader in professional services.”
