The project involved the refurbishment of Chilanga II’s kiln refractory and steelwork, which included the procurement of refractory material, project and site management, demolition, anchor and plate work repair, kiln brick installation and refractory installation in the cyclones, riser ducts, precalciner, smoke chamber, kiln hood and grate cooler. A precast bullnose has also been installed in the grate cooler.
