Cabinet approves several appointments

During its most recent meeting this week, Cabinet approved several appointments, including that of Simphiwe Wisema Makhathini to the post of deputy director-general of energy and broadband at the Department of Public Enterprises.

Cabinet further approved the appointment of Guy Patrick Harris and Venete Jarlene Klein as board members of the South African Bureau of Standards between May 1, 2013, and August 25, 2014.

In addition, Vusumzi Gilchrist Mutshekwane, Philippina Aletta Opperman and Maleho Margaret Nkomo were approved as members of the National Credit Regulator board for a period of five years between May 1, 2013, and April 30, 2018.

Cabinet also endorsed the reappointment of Prags Govender, Jacob Malatse, Anna-Marie Lotter, Nomkhosi Magwaza, Jennifer Rathebe, Terven Jaftha, Berenice Lue Marais, Mxolisi Saki, Ronald Josias and Aluwani Percy Ramabulana to the board of the South African National Accreditation Services for a second term of five years, to run from December 1, 2013 until November, 30, 2018.
