As Business Unity South Africa (Busa) continued the search for an appropriate CEO following Nomaxabiso Majokweni’s resignation last week, the organisation appointed Cas Coovadia “caretaker” CEO to ensure a seamless leadership transition.

The current Banking Association of South Africa MD would provide “strategic support” during the organisation’s transition, which Busa said was “crucial” as it reshaped itself “to play a critical role in providing a united voice for business”.

Majokweni, who would continue to act as CEO until February 28, would work with Coovadia and newly appointed acting COO Fergus Marupen during the handover.
