David Osikore has resigned as MD and CEO of Bougainville Copper (BOC), the ASX-listed company reported on Tuesday.

Osikore has stepped away from the day-to-day management duties to deal with a personal health issue, the company explained.

He will remain on the board of directors, given his local knowledge and more than 30 years’ experience in the exploration and mining industries in Papua New Guinea and abroad.

Johnny Patterson Auna has agreed to serve as acting CEO.
