JSE-listed ARB Holdings expects to report a double-digit rise in earnings per share (EPS) and headline earnings per share (HEPS) for the year ended June 30, 2021.

EPS for the year under review could increase to between 80.30c and 83.85c apiece, 125% to 135% higher than the EPS of 35.68c reported in the previous year.

The company also expects to report a 35% to 40% increase in HEPS to between 80.90c and 83.90c, compared with the 59.93c reported in the year ended June 2020.

The increases are mostly attributed to improved revenue and gross margin when compared with the Covid-19-impacted results of the comparative period last year.

The resultant increase in operating income has been offset by an increase in the IFRS income statement charge for the put option liability.

ARB plans to publish its results for the year ended June 30, 2021, on August 19.
