Sandton Convention Centre

The Sandton Convention Centre is a major conference and events facility located in Sandton, Johannesburg, South Africa. Situated in the heart of the city's financial and commercial district, the centre serves as a premier venue for business conferences, exhibitions, trade shows and high-level diplomatic gatherings. The facility comprises multiple conference halls, meeting rooms and exhibition spaces equipped to host events ranging from small corporate meetings to large-scale international summits. Its strategic location in Sandton, often referred to as the richest square mile in Africa, makes it a natural choice for business and political events of continental and international significance. The centre has hosted numerous African Union meetings, regional economic forums and pan-African initiatives, including gatherings of former heads of state and conflict-resolution bodies. Its proximity to major hotels, corporate headquarters and OR Tambo International Airport enhances its appeal for international delegates. The venue is managed by the Sandton Convention Centre Company and operates as a key node in South Africa's meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions industry. The centre has played a significant role in positioning Johannesburg as a leading African destination for business tourism and diplomatic engagement since its establishment in the late 1990s.
