President Jacob Zuma will head to Mozambique to attend the Southern African Development Community (SADC) infrastructure investment summit in Maputo on Thursday.

The summit’s main aim is to present the SADC regional infrastructure master plan and its short-term action plan, which focuses on energy, water transport, information communication technology, tourism and meteorology projects, to potential investors, funders of infrastructure and key international cooperating partners.

The summit will also be used to facilitate direct consultations between potential investors and national project promoters.

In addition to representatives from the business and financial communities, the heads of State of Angola, Mozambique and Malawi, as well as the chairperson of the African Union Commission will also attend the summit.
