Wyzetalk secures Dutch investor to drive European footprint growth

Dutch software-focused investment company CNBB Venture Partners has made a multimillion-euro investment in digital employee engagement company Wyzetalk.

Wyzetalk connects large organisations with their frontline employees through its software solution to improve communication, increase employee engagement and drive business performance.

Wyzetalk operates in South Africa, but is headquartered in Utrecht, in the Netherlands.

CNBB and Wyzetalk will work closely to rapidly grow their European footprints.

CNBB says it invested in Wyzetalk owing to its unique value proposition and its distinctive target market.

“While other internal communications providers mainly focus on office workers and peer-to-peer contact, Wyzetalk enables companies to communicate with large, complex segments of non-desk workers and gather employee feedback in a way that is structured and measurable,” the investor explains.

The companies both believe this type of communication is especially helpful for organisations where health, safety and hygiene are of utmost importance and where differences in culture and language, coupled with dispersed operations, are a challenge.

Wyzetalk was founded in 2012 by CEO Gys Kappers and chief technology officer Gerhard Pretorius and has a record of accomplishment with global clients in the mining, oil and gas, manufacturing, retail and hospitality sectors.

Kappers is a Dutch entrepreneur whose family immigrated to South Africa in the 1950s. He has recently brought the business “home” by establishing its headquarters in Utrecht.

He comments that working together with CNBB, the companies will grow further and help more companies communicate better, and more easily and efficiently with their workforce.
