Name of the Project
Woodlawn zinc/copper project.

Location
New South Wales, Australia.

Project Owner/s
Develop Global.

Project Description
Woodlawn is a high-grade zinc/copper/lead/gold/silver project.

The Woodlawn mine operated from 1978 to 1998 and processed 13.8-million tonnes of ore from the Woodlawn openpit, underground and minor satellite deposits.

Following its closure, the project was acquired by Heron Resources. Heron developed the underground mine and processing plant, investing an estimated A$340-million in the project before it was put on care and maintenance in 2020. Heron was placed in administration in July 2021.

Develop completed its acquisition of Woodlawn and the extensive tenement package in May 2022.

Develop announced a 40% increase in the resource estimate for its Woodlawn copper/zinc mine in October 2023, paving the way for an increased mine life from the current seven years to more than ten years, based on a processing capacity of 850 000 t/y.

The company resource is estimated at 10.3-million tonnes, at 1.8% copper, 6.1% zinc, 2.2% lead, 47.2 g/t silver and 0.5 g/t gold.

The increase in the resource tonnage and grades has boosted the contained copper metal by 43% to 190 000 t, while contained zinc metal has improved by 50% to 620 000 t, for a combined 445 000 t copper equivalent resource.

This means that the project now has genuine scale with significant scope for further growth.
