Morné Wilken has been appointed CEO of JSE-listed MAS Real Estate, effective January 1, 2018.

Lukas Nakos will continue as CEO until Wilken takes up his position.

“I am delighted that Wilken has agreed to take over as the CEO of MAS. His wealth of experience, combined with his knowledge of the business and understanding of our strategy will allow a seamless transition of leadership and implementation of the business strategy,” chairperson Ron Spencer said in a statement on Wednesday.

Wilken is currently CEO of property company Attacq.

MAS was established in 2009 with a focus on real estate investment opportunities in Western Europe. It has since broadened its focus to include Central and Eastern Europe.
