Does the war in Ukraine matter to Africa?

The African continent's response to Russia's invasion of Ukraine has been mixed at best, indifferent at worst.

The fact that just 27 countries from the continent voted to condemn the war at the UN, while 17 abstained, notwithstanding Eritrea's vote against the motion, shows a large proportion of African governments think they stand more to gain by not speaking up.

In this short documentary, The Brenthurst Foundation's Director, Dr. Greg Mills, explains why their inaction will show them to be on the wrong side of history.
