The project is located at Shulanghu Port, Zhoushan City, Zhejiang province, in China.
Project Owner/s
The project is a 50:50 joint venture (JV) between Vale International and Ningbo Zhoushan Port Company. The JV will build, own and operate the project.
Project Description
The project will comprise the expansion of the facilities at the Port of Shulanghu.
By participating in the project, Vale will guarantee a total port capacity of 40-million tonnes a year in Shulanghu, which will help Vale to optimise costs in its value chain.
The project includes the acquisition of property rights and the development of 20-million tonnes a year port capacity, including the construction of a new storage yard and two loading berths, subject to regulatory approvals.
