The project entails the consolidation and replacement of two existing superannuated facilities.

It includes the construction of an energy recovery-type waste management facility that is equipped with two incinerators each, with a waste treatment capacity of 115 t/d, providing power-generating efficiency of more than 16.5%.

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Environmental & Chemical Engineering Co (MHIEC), a subsidiary of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) Group, has formally concluded a contract with the Kashima Regional Administration Association in Ibaraki Prefecture, comprising the cities of Kashima and Kamisu, to design and build a combustible waste management facility.
