Real estate investment trust Vukile Property Fund on Tuesday raised R600-million through an accelerated bookbuild process.

The company had initially planned to raise about R500-million, however, in light of strong demand the amount was increased by R100-million, Vukile said.

Of the R600-million raised, R350-million was raised through the issue of new Vukile linked units pursuant to the accelerated bookbuild process at R16.50 a linked unit, while R250-million was raised by placement to the Encha special purpose vehicle at R16.40 a linked unit.

The company expected 36.46-million new Vukile linked units to be issued and listed on September 18.
