Project Description
The project will increase urea and ammonia production capacity by more than one-million tons a year and include:
• the construction of a 900 000 t/y urea plant;
• efficiency improvements and capacity increases to existing ammonia plants;
• added capability to produce high-purity urea to serve the diesel exhaust-fluid market;
• the construction of high-speed truck and rail loading facilities, complementing the existing access of the Burlington Northern and Union Pacific railroads;
• the construction of an additional
90 000 t of urea storage capacity;
• the construction of infrastructure to process water discharged from the City of Enid’s wastewater treatment plant, substantially reducing the facility’s use of drinking water; and
• construction of an electric power substation to supply new power and improve the reliability of existing power to the facility.

$1.3-billion.

Duration
The project is expected to take between 18 and 24 months to complete.

Latest Developments
KBR has been awarded a reimbursable contract to provide engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) services for a new grassroots urea plant.

In addition, KBR will provide construction management services for the expansion of the existing ammonia plants and site utilities, as well as infrastructure to support the project.
