Project Description
The TK project has a total mineral reserve of 7.02-million tonnes grading at 10.8% potassium oxide.
The prefeasibility study (PFS) for the production of TK at Verde’s Cerrado Verde project supports the company’s positive outlook on Cerrado Verde’s value and represents a significant milestone in the development of the project.
The PFS evaluated the technical and financial aspects of a plant to produce 1 000 t/d.
The same plant will be operated to process potassium chloride to obtain the necessary performance guarantees for an eventual dedicated potassium chloride plant.
The PFS assumes openpit mining and a pyrometallurgical process for the production of TK. The project has a projected mine life of 31 years.

The project capital cost is estimated at $113.6-million, including $14.7-million in contingency.
