Project Description
The project will see the conversion of the Takoradi power plant from its current 220 MW single-cycle configuration to a combined-cycle plant. This will involve the addition of two heat recovery system generators, a 110 MW steam turbine generator, two 60 m stacks and a seawater desalination plant. The conversion will allow the plant to generate 110 MW of power without any incremental fuel consumption.
