Project Description
The project involves the resurfacing of 40.6 km of road between Sun City and Boshoek. The scope of work for the R556 Section 1 from R510 to Sun City, and the R565 Section 1 from N4 to Boshoek, comprises an asphalt overlay of 35 mm/45 mm and stone mastic asphalt of 20 mm.
Further work includes rehabilitation and ancillary works, including base repair patches (720 t) and edge break repairs (150 t), crack sealing 64 000 m and asphalt reinforcing grid amounting to 285 700 m2.
