Stewarts and Lloyds have just received notification that their SALVALVE range of RSV Gate Valves have just been awarded SANS 664 certification.

This is a significant milestone for the Group as it now opens up new market opportunities for us - particularly in Water Management markets where the demand for these Valves is a pre-requisite.
Doors are now opened for us to target Water Boards, Municipalities, and the various Local Authorities. It is expect that we will now start tendering on civil contracts, so it is important that we start engaging with our civil contracting customers from the get go.
The timing of this certification is also significant in that the Group has recently embraced the require-ments of BBBEE through the opening of our newly formed Stewarts and Lloyds Projects (Pty) Ltd busi-ness which will assist us in getting access to these customers where BBBEE is a non- negotiable. At this time it is worth reminding the Group that we now hold SANS accreditation for virtually the full range of Cast Iron Valves on offer by the Group these been:
- SANS – 664-3:2008 – SALVALVE RSV Gate Valves
- SANS – 1551-1:2008 – SALVALVE Check Valves –(both Flanged and Wafer Types)
- SANS – 1849:2008 – SALVALVE Butterfly Valves
With the collective efforts of each and every branch within the Group we now have the collective POWER to make a significant impact in the Valve market in RSA and neighbouring countries.
