Project Description
The project involves the phased development and operation of a 154 MW portfolio of several co-located greenfield solar and biomass power plants on Negros Island, in the Philippines.
The portfolio includes:
• the San Carlos biopower plant –a 25 MWe thermal power facility, in La Carlota, in South Negros;
• the San Negros biopower plant – a 25 MWe thermal power facility, in Manalpa, North Negros;
• the San Carlos solar power plant – a 22 MW photovoltaic (PV) facility, in San Carlos;
• the South Negros solar power plant –a 18 MW PV facility, in Carlota;
• the North Negros solar power plant –a 22 MW PV project, in Manalpa; and
• San Carlos solar power 2 plant –a 23 MW PV facility, in San Carlos.
Electricity transmission lines, ranging from 2 km to 15 km in length, will be installed along existing road right-of-ways.
