Project Owner/s
Scatec Solar owns 42%, Norfund holds 18%, the surrounding community of Upington 5% and H1 Holdings, a South African Black investor, holds the remaining 35% of the equity. 

Project Description
The Sirius project was awarded preferred bidder status by the former Department of Energy under the fourth round of the Renewable Energy Independent Power Producer Procurement Programme in April 2015.

The project has an 86 MW capacity and will avoid the emission of more than 180 000 t/y of carbon dioxide.
