Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has been awarded a $200-million contract to construct the combined-cycle power plant.
The plant will incorporate gas and steam turbines from Siemens and other steam turbine manufacturers, which will be procured by L&T.
L&T’s scope includes the design, detailed engineering, supply, installation and commissioning of the complete power plant on a turnkey basis. L&T-Sargent & Lundy, a subsidiary of L&T, will carry out the plant integration and detailed engineering using proprietary technology of US-based Sargent & Lundy.
