Schneider’s absorption of Uniflair concluded
Precision air-conditioning and technical cooling systems company Uniflair has been successfully integrated into energy management and cooling solutions group Schneider Electric South Africa’s brand.
Following the 2010 acquisition of Uniflair, the parties had merged to position Schneider to “better scale and serve the rapidly growing cooling industry” in Southern Africa, Schneider Electric country president Eric Léger said.
Schneider Electric’s information technology business director for Southern Africa Bruce Grobler and cooling solutions sales manager Ronnie Robberts would head up the newly merged unit.
The Schneider Electric South Africa cooling portfolio now comprised a total range of precision cooling solutions.
“In addition to its in-row cooling and hot aisle containment, Schneider Electric South Africa will also offer perimeter or room cooling and cold aisle containment, heat rejection through its condensers and chiller portfolio, along with various free cooling options and air distribution by means of the Ecoflair range of flooring options,” highlighted Léger.
The merger enabled customers to deal with a single supplier, making commissioning, fault-finding and problem-solving “a great deal easier”, while accelerating the group’s local operation in terms of business opportunities and competitiveness in the cooling market, he explained.
